Since the weekend, I've overheard many people expressing their outrage at Simon Cowell's manipulation of the latest vote on his show, the X factor.
It's hilarious. How naive can people be?
The whole show is manipulated from programme 1 to the end.
Why do people think the judges get to decide between the 2 folk who receive the least phone votes? Why don't they leave the decision to the public every time?
Fairness? Fun? er...
No. It's because the public can't be trusted to get it right.
Of course Cowell wanted those talentless twats to go through. Yes, they're pish, but without them, the show would be utterly bland.
When the idiots get horsed next week, as I'm told they will as some sort of mass blood letting revenge, which one of the remaining "contestants" will make millions of people tune in? er, I don't even know the remaining contestants' names, ffs.
I have been trying not to watch this show. It's on in the house and I have been drawn on occasions.
Mostly for the car crash TV that is/was the twats.
I certainly won't look up from Hibs.net when they're gone.
That whole show is terrible.
It's on in the house at weekends so I catch bits and pieces of it but it is just panto TV.
Sooner it's axed the better.

I normally don't watch past the auditions and even that is only if i have no dosh.
Jedward have made me tune in a few more times than i would have in the past although i prefer Xtra factor to hear everybody going mental on the phones. :agree:

Can't bring myself to watch this drivel. Have you read Chart Throb by Ben Elton?

"The X-Factor" is a fine example of our modern popular culture. I don't know why so many people slate it. It is my regular Saturday evening entertainment. I would not miss it for the world.

I love it. If I'm back home for the weekend, the wife and kids send me to the pub while it's on, so they can watch it in peace.
Long may it continue to run

I know it's fashionable to slate the people that come out of these shows, but there are a few acts to come out that have some ability and good material. Leona Lewis has a fantastic voice, as does Alexandra Burke. JLS are also a fairly talented bunch of guys - brilliant if you're up town in a drunken haze and consider yourself to be something of a dancer - and have come out with a couple of decent offerings. Shayne Ward is probably someone you can put in the same category.
That said, I don't really make a point of watching the show (I would like to think I'm busy most Saturday nights), and this years bunch aren't really up to much at all.
