When I saw their starting line up, I thought it was a decent side.

They do have decent players and are well organised.

If Vlad invests in a decent striker or two in January, they'll do well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Michael Stewart was called up for Scotland soon.

:agree:

That lot's best player today.

And he was unlucky not to hit the corner flag with a 30-yard pile driver!

Hearts play a boring 4-5-1 even at home, crowd out the midfield, attack you with long throws, they would improve with a decent striker but still they would play the same system and bore their fans to death.

Fair dos, but what's the chances of that happening? And what's the chances of Romanov (sorry, Hearts) pocketing a few quid for Goncalves or Wallace?

Stewart ran about alot but that is about it. At international level you need more than that. Ross Wallace was probably there best player.

Hearts set out to win the battle(as yogi would say) and hump balls up to Nade, they were the better team in the first half only because that was as bad as we've played all season, i can't remember Nade missing any sitters or Stack having any outstanding saves in the 1st half. 2nd half when we started to pass the ball a bit, we waltzed through them and created chances. THEY ARE A PISH POOR TEAM AND NEED MORE THAN A STRIKER

Hearts play well to their strengths and on their own tight pitch. We only got anywhere near to playing to our strengths later in the 2nd half.

Their comments on the Scotsman etc are quite amusing, where was the Hibs flair side etc.

They play to stifle and they do it well. They did it against Celtic too, they're not bad at that game. I don't think their manager's bad either.

They won't be buying anyone soon, there will be a fire sale in January so they will probably only get worse.

If Hearts had strikers they would be a decent team.

If I had a fifteen-inch organ I would be a porn star in Hollywood instead of an antiques dealer in Merchiston.

The fact is that despite putting us under pressure practically the whole game and forcing a dozen corners, they could have, in the words of one Jambo in the hospitality, 'played into next week and not come close to scoring.'

In contrast, we had about ten minutes, and probably only needed another five to have fashioned an opportunity to have grabbed all three points.

They are poor.

Yes their tactics are quite complex, throwing long balls to the Hibs centre backs, i suspect that Stoke City might be interested in one of their players as back up for Rory Delap.

They were stifled (and missing because of injury). It was like watching a Sam Allardyce Bolton side vs Arsenal.

Strikers need service ....the dogs created few if any oppurtunities for a striker to score..............they need a lot more than a striker...they need somone to create chances for a striker.....mind you who cares...we go there with 3 top playes out..play for 20 mins and create more chances than they will all season..
