I was wondering what the parents on the board would do in this situation. That Vanessa George bint has given the identities of some of the kids she abused, and the judge has given the parents the choice of whether to find out or not.

I genuinely don't know what I would do if it was me. I don't have any children, but if the bairn seemed unaffected and was quite happy then maybe I would assume that he/she hadn't been touched and leave it at that. But then maybe it would always be at the back of your mind.

Surely any parent would want to know. I couldn't bear the torture of not knowing.

The kids involved won't have any recollection of what has happened to them which is a bonus but I would still have to know.

Anything else is burrying your head in the sand and pretending it didn't happen.

I thought that at the time of the case. Speaking as a parent I would not have wanted to know and I would have been annoyed at any other parent who pursued the matter. I would know about it obviously but I can live with it.

Ideally the kids themselves should be kept in ignorance of the whole thing but once the prurient media get hold of the info there's not much hope of that.

The worry is always the future effect on the kids if they know what happened.

Unless the kid appeared in some way affected by it either mentally or physically I dont think I would want to know. Whose to say the woman is even telling the truth or is not just getting some kick out of it knowing she has some power over the parents.
