Many of you were asking about Wattie Robb's song, well here are the words:-

HIBEES, HIBEES, HIBEES

By Wattle Robb
Some day I'll go back to Dear Old Glasgow
Even though I'll have to walk it all the way
Just to see again, the Hibs defeat the Rangers
And to show the Glasgow people how to play

Just to see wee Willie Ormond on the Left Wing

No doubt, he is the Daddy of them all
He can cutely beat his man, and leave him standing
And score the greatest goal you ever saw.

Turnbull and Johnstone, show the selectors

That they're as good as any in the game
And the star, that shines so brightly, on the Right Wing
Sure every boy in Scotland knows his name.

Gay Gordon is the name to one and only
Don't mention Willie Waddell's name to me
If you want a thrill, just give the ball to Gordon
And he'll treat you to the best you'll ever see.

And in the centre, bracey Lawrie Reilly
To leave the laddie out would be a crime
A pass to him is never wasted
He'll show you where to put it every time.

Buchanan, Paterson, and Combe
They give no Forward line a second chance
Just to see young Archie drive the folk crazy
By holding Torry Gillick in a trance.

There's not a finer Full Back in the country
Than Johnny Goven, quick and clean and sure
And Davie Shaw is as good as any other
And Jimmy Kerr, in goal, is never poor.

A brilliant Keeper, Kerr, the safest ever
His praises, they are sung both near and far
Just to think of any other man before him
Is to hold a penny candle to a star.

Now if you want a team to play for Scotland

Surely now, you know the one I mean
You only have to change the blooming jerseys
To Scotland's Blue, instead of Hibs'Bright Green!

Not seen it posted yet, but a good turn out over all senior management, player and retired players. Even made the stv tea time news.

Wattie RIP
