That's where Yogi got the Yogi name.

Which, incidentally, he has been trying to tell us he doesn't want to be called any more!

I don't think thats our "Yogi" they are on about. There was a Celtic player called Hughes in those days and he may have had the nickname Yogi. Good player if I remember right.

As I lived on the other side of the Atlantic for a number of years, one of my favourite sporting heroes there was Yogi Berra.

Here's his Wiki entry:

Note that wonderful quote!

Remind you of anyone??:greengrin

Memory very bad these days and if he did break Bobbys leg I've changed my opinion on him.... ****in animal:greengrin. But my memory is not that bad to forget that goal Bobby scored against Napoli(sp) in the Fairs Cup, left the great Dino Zoff helpless:top marks

I do. The Bear chased after BD and took a wild swing from behind him. Tackling from behind was allowed in them days, but not that kind of "tackle". I think we got a free kick, but the ref did not speak to The Bear.

Despite that, I think John Clark was the dirtier player in Celtc's team then. Made McManus seem a puss.
