Interesting order of stories on the BBC Scottish News tonight.

A Scots Guardsman murdered in Paisley and a Glasgow laddie killed in that chopper crash, both dutifully reported AFTER 4-5 minutes on the tragic situation of Glasgow Rangers Football Club. That must be very comforting for their families.

We even had a quote from the Scottish Secretary - don't remember any politicians getting involved when we were in trouble....

What do you expect from Reporting Glasgow, they managed to show the Rangers goal twice in as many minutes. If the OF were ever to leave the SPL(fat chance) the SPL would barely rate a mention ever again. I hate BBC Scotland with a passion!

Orange Lodge to help prop up Labour vote in Scotland... could Murphy be scratching their back in return by saving their beloved football club? Gotta pull out the stops to shore up that west coast vote: in one week, Murphy has appealed to the Pope to come to Scotland as part of his UK tour and he's written to the bank to beg them not to pull the plug on Rangers.

The more you read about it, it seems Walter Smith has gone and opened his trap about something he knows nothing about. The bank are in full scale denial that they have anything to do with the finances at Greyskull. So Murphy's letter is a wee bit foolish and is nothing but a bit of a stunt.

Living on the other side of the world, I subscribe to the BBC Scottish football podcast to stay in touch with the punters` debates etc. Last week, there were 4 episodes, and every single bloody one was about Walter Smith. The parts that weren`t, were interviews with Mowbray or the Infirm`s chief execs. This on the back of the previous week`s 4 episodes discussing the Infirm`s desperation to leave Scotland.

Now, admittedly, on those programmes, the pundits were getting ripped into the ugly sisters, but that`s beside the point. Now, I click `play`, then skip through to see if there`s anything interesting. Usually there`s nowt - it`s just Infirm Radio.

Now and again, there`s an interesting digression, or discussion, say, about the national team and so on. But my God, the number of minutes devoted to Chick Young talking to Walter Smith is just endless. ENDLESS.

it`s such a tired load of bollox. Is that really the best they can do? Talk about Rangers` chickens coming home to roost? Pathetic.

GG

p.s - Off the Ball podcast is a much better bet, partly because they actually include interesting anecdotes and stories about teams from around Scotland.

Long discussion on Traynor's prog.last night with journalists on why they didn't give U.Walter a hard time after the European match.Excuses ranged from "didn't expect him to leave"to "my lap top blew up".Real reason -they were feart.

Nice to see that Lloyds a bank bailed out by the tax-payer, are doing everything in their power to assist Rangers.

Why's Murphy in the news nearly everyday? For a while I'd forgotten there was a Scottish Secretary, now we have to put up with him on a daily basis.
