The bank have taken over the running of the club:confused:

I think this is why the other boy has taken over. I believe someone mentioned on here that he is working for Lloyds.

If Celtic had have won the league last season they'd have been royally ****ed. The 10 million this season plus player sales has given them a much needed lifeline.

I was looking on the Celtic forum after they got beat by Hamburg to see their reaction and someone raised the point on there that Celtic wanted Rangers to win the league last season because they are nothing without each other and he got laughed off the board.

That's what he said.

"They'll have their own ideas, and obviously investment's not one of them."

The Huns are in DEEP do-do.

Surprised me too. Possibly widely known but I take no interest in the Huns so must have missed that one

They have been running Rangers since the summer.

Why do you think there were no players signed in the close season?

Been saying that as well, Celtic had a chance to absolutely finish Rangers off last season, if they had won the league it would have been game over. Two sides of the same coin.

Why do you think Rangers and Celtic are agitating for a move so badly?? Skinto.

I assumed it was because Murray was getting out. As I said above, I don't read up about Rangers or Celtic for that matter and am genuinely shocked re the bank running the huns.

Does the evidence of financial complication, including the POTENTIALITY of financial difficulty, leave a club open to penalisation by the Scottish authorities?

This was the reason Livingston were relegated 2 divisions, as they weren't actually in administration at the time - they were deemed to be heading towards a financially unsustainable position.

If Rangers are in a degree of turmoil, the SPL will have to assess the finances of the club with serious scrutiny!

This shows what happened to Livi was a stitch up job by folk that stood to gain from their punishment IMO. Look at Hertz - surely they fit into the category highlighted as their outgoings continue to exceed their income!

It had been denied previously that the Bank were running Rangers by both Martin Bain and the new guy who is running the show in place of David Murray. That's why there was no real story. Smith however appeared to totally contradict this today though he did also manfully try to draw the attention away from those comments by talking up big time the quality of today's game. Somehow though I think it's safe to guess tomorrow's back page headlines!

I don't think they are the only club in a "run by the bank" situation. Thank goodness for Mr Petrie and his prudent ways.

ive been told that walter had a "discussion" with people from the board after his interview with chick young. they werent happy people!

think the press will be fed non-stories on the football field this week to try and get attention away from the board room and money issues.

Ulsterbank?
In South Africa one of the biggest banks is Nedbank.

That would be more appropriate.
