Guy's a bit of a pr!ck...:agree:
Starts his usual trash talking and then feigns injury (sounds as scripted as the WWE)...
Now he's beheading cardboard cutouts in a bid to put the *****ers up his next opponent :faf::faf::faf:
Hope he's laid out in the first round :agree:

Boxer in talking crap before a fight shocker!
I like Haye FWIW. I'd much sooner he won the title than the big freaks who've had the monopoly on the titles over the last few years.

Looking at his opponent i think he's going to get mauled :agree:
I think he's funny, takes the piss out of his opponents before a fight and usually delivers.
Hope he nails the big boy.

I'm sure he didn't do it to put the *****ers up his opponent, it was a cheesy stunt to raise awareness of the fight, it worked.
He's an exciting boxer to watch so i don't really understand your problem with him, of course he's cocky but so are all good boxers.

Exactly, I'm looking forward to this fight and I hope Haye floors him

If you're talking about the Klitchco (sp) fight then he feigned that because Setanta were about to collapse and he wasn't getting knocked the **** out for free!
The stuff about ripping their heads off was a bit far and those t-shirts were cringeworthy. I'd have liked to have seen him get knocked out for that because that was just too far.

Admittedly, I've only seen him fight once but his arms were flailing around like some pansy with a wasp near them. His defence looks shaky but I can't imagine this big guy is too quick so if he keeps out his way he might be able to tire him out.
Out if interest, who's the only person to beat the big guy? It says in the paper his record in 49/50. I thought he won them all.

Valuev lost a decision to Ruslan Chagaev. He's never been knocked down in his career.
As for Haye, he's technically pretty sound, jabs well, keeps the hands up when he has too and keeps the elbows tucked in.
I think he has a real chance, Valuev is painfully slow and so so boring to watch, outwith the double jab and uppercut, he is technically lacking. Put it this way if the ghost of Evander Holyfield arguably beat him last year and was clearly better conditioned than him then a fit, conditioned Haye who moves well and gets in and out quickly has a great chance.
A worry of mine as well is that it is notoriously difficult to get a decision against a German based fighter in Germany so i think Haye needs a KO or to win the fight by such a distance nothing dodgy can happen.

After watching David Tua destroy Shane Cameron (was ranked 6th by the WBO) in 2 rounds a couple of weeks ago, I'd say he's got a GREAT chance at getting a title shot. That guy can punch! :agree:
Unfortunately I can't find the video ANYWHERE because they've all been removed from youtube :grr:

edit - here's a brief clip of the end of the fight...was 2 knockdowns before even this though - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxWXTB8smiA

My brother bought a video of David Tuas fights years ago in the lead up to his clash with Lennox Lewis. What we saw on there was someone who was capable of blasting opponents out the ring. Very exciting and I actually wagered money with my boss that he would beat Lewis. Very disappointed with his performance that night, kinda looked as if he couldnt quite be world class.
I am sure in the last 7 or 8 years since that fight he has improved. Maybe time for Tua to get another shot at a world title I agree.
As for David Haye, his comments about Valuev being smelly in the ring (:duck:) were out of order but other than that it was nothing more that pre fight hype.

I always liked Tua but feel he is and always has been a bit fleshy round the middle and tires as fights wear on.
Someone else said he was dissappointing when he fought Lennox, personally i think it was just Lennox was a class above. Reckon he would find the same now with Vitali but would certainly fancy him to give anyone out of Haye, Valuev and Wladimir Klitschko a really good fight.

well, he'll be able tp find out soon enough......because that's about as far up as he'll reach...:faf:
Granted the only clips i've seen of valuev have been on youtube but he reminds me of george foreman V ali in Kinshasha, big and strong but can he last the pace if Hayes boxes cute ala ropeadope?

Yeah, everyone down here was really disappointed with the Lewis fight, but Lewis was just to good for him, and Tua couldn't get near him. I think he could've dropped Lewis had he caught him, but like I say, Lewis didn't let him.
As for his weight, he was REALLY heavy, and for that lastest fight he lost something like 32kg to prepare for it!
He might tire towards the end of fights, but if blasts opponents like he did Cameron, the fight will be lucky to get out of round 1! He can punch, hard and fast. Everybody I watched the fight with was pretty stunned to be honest, and these were people who are boxing fans.
Apparently they are trying to organise a fight with Rahman in Auckland this Decemeber. If he wins that, next fight could be a title fight. :agree:

I reckon Tua would blow Rahman away. 1 cracking punch against Lewis and Rahman tought he was a genuine great heavyweight.
I'd like to see David Tua get another title shot, he's certainly more deserving than some of the jokers who have been around the last few years.
