Finland V Wales games is on Sky channel 991 (3pm KO) if anyone is interested, not sure if JJ is still playing for Finland.

JJ is in the Finland side, probably a good bet for a goal as he usually scores for them.

Bellamy also playing for Wales, he's sure to get a warm reception after his comments when they played in Wales.

Johannson's shot saved, but leads to the opening goal.

Good play by our former player.

Just said he's training with Saints!

As an aside, pardon the duplicate thread - didn't notice the other one - If a mod would care to merge, that would be appreciated.

Cheers.

1-0 Gabon :boo hoo:

Think Morocco are out both the WC and African Nations if they lose this.

Not really - the World Cup is pre-season, and Zemmama and Benji are just as likely to get hurt playing domestic friendlies/warm ups, as they are playing in the World Cup finals.

Having 2 WC finalists in South Africa also means we have 2 players getting to play competitively against top-class opposition, and places them in a wider shop window, which enhances our selling market when they come to move on.

As things stand right now, Morocco's table currently looks like this;

Cameroon-10
Gabon-9
Togo-5
Morocco-3

That would mean that Morocco would have to beat Cameroon in their final qualifying match and hope that Gabon beat Togo for them to reach the African Nations Cup. Cameroon have to win that match to guarantee their World Cup place.

They will not be going to the World Cup.

Full time. Bo'ness went 1-0 up in the first half before Linlithgow headed an equaliser in the 2nd, Linlithgow having several penalty claims turned down whilst Bo'ness almost went up the other end and almost scored the goal of the season but the boys shot hit the bar:wink:

I was meaning them missing out on the African Nations, as we now have them available for January

3-1 Gabon.

Morocco scored a consolation right at the end of the match. Zemmama was substituted after 68 minutes.

Like I said earlier, they are now out of the World Cup and must beat Cameroon and hope that Togo lose to Gabon in order to qualify for the African Nations Cup.

Zemamma was substituted after 68 minutes in Morocco's game yesterday:confused:

I hope he wasn't injured, can't see why they would take him off if he was playing anywhere near the form he has shown for us in the last couple of games.

On the plus side Benji didn't get on the park, so he should be back OK (unless he losses his passport again ) and Bamba played 90mins for Ivory Coast.

Morocco now bottom of their group and doubtful if they'll even qualify for ACN now. This is good news for Hibs IMO, don't think we could cope with losing all 3 of them for a month in January. :cool2:
