Quite an appalling story.
Nice to see a crooked lawyer up here getting some comeuppance for once.
Anyone know/know of the guy?

Yes, I did some (non-legal) work for him once, a long time ago. I got paid for the work, so that made him an ok person in my book. Wouldn't be quite so keen to do the work if asked now.

Yep I know him but haven't had any dealings with him for about 15 years thankfully.
He's actually a Hibbie (or was), used to go to games back in the late 80s.

Slightly off-topic, I once got handed a flyer in town from an organisation called (something like) Scottish Crooked Lawyers. With a list - and pictures, and business names / addresses of lawyers who have been done for dishonesty or malpractice. Most of them are still in business, and there's a few weel-kent names. They have a web-site, which might be called scottishcrookedlawyers.com.
Not entirely sure how they manage to publish that information about lawyers, and get away with it. Anyone know what this is about?

The website is called www.sacl.info
Alll the information on there is in the public domain and relates to court cases and law society proceedings against Lawyers who have done wrong.

Ahhhhh.....thanks.
Some of the commentary on individual lawyers, though, seems very personal.:dunno: Not that I'm complaining; just surprised that none of these lawyers has found a way of prosecuting the campaign group for defamation.

So what, it's not like she could spend the money anyway. (I fully expect that defence from a crooked lawyer in future).
