For those of you who knew him, and loads did, Eric died unexpectedly and suddenly in his house last night, aged 52.

A great guy, a great family man and a great Hibby.

One West Upper seat will remain empty for the rest of the season.

Jeez Dave, that news has just totally floored the Missus and me. Can't really believe it. Eric was one of life's real good guys! Always a pleasure to talk to. Far far too young to be taken away. RIP Eric with our sincere condolences to all family and friends.

Shocked, stunned, gobsmacked, saddened...............none of these words even gets close to how I'm feeling right now.

Can't believe I was sitting having a beer with the guy yesterday and now he's gone.

As PC says - a nicer guy you will never meet.

Sorry for you as well D - I know you were good friends for a long time.

Finally my thoughts are with his family.

RIP Eric

Hey HR I did not know your friend Eric but I'm sorry for your loss.

Going to see Hibs or Hearts or any other team for most people I think is as much about going along to be in the company of friends and relatives to watch the game as it is to see a football match. I think when you lose someone close to you like that a part of you doesn't go to the game anymore.

Still, he'll be remembered every time you walk through the gates at ER.
