Anyone see his goals yesterday. His touch on the first one it was like the ball was glued to his feet. Has to be THE best goalscorer in world right now.

Wolves just equalised with Sunderland after being 2-0 down

Two good feet. Twice as effective. Twice as difficult to defend against. Brilliant.

Although I would like Chelsea to win next Sunday, I can't wait to see Torres live.

I guess Petr Czech must be delighted he has to sit it out.:agree:

On any other day, I reckon Gerrard's goal would have stolen the headlines but Torres is just different class.

Gerrard never meant his goal surely?

No way, IMO.

Not much between them really. A little different in style. Messi seems to play alot deeper than Torres. The crazy thing is Torres seems to be improving on last season which just tells you how much of a professional he is. Messi has been in and out of form over last year. Would take them both though

I think he's good enough to place it in that corner knowing someone will either get a head to it or it will directly go in. The guy is brilliant. Him and Torres are on fire right now.

There's no chance that Gerrard was going for goal. It was a mi***** cross that came good.

As for Torres, he's ok but he'll be tamed when the champions come calling at Anfield in a few weeks.

I don't think the hacks would have cared much to be honest. Far as I could see, it was a cross that turned into a goal...and a good one at that!

Great player but I think he's made a major blunder committing himself to the lost cause that is Liverpool FC.

Still, he must be on a decent salary.

Maybe he will on the other hand maybe he'll not just fall over and let Torres score. What the Hull defenders were up to I don't know! Surely after the 1st time you just go straight through him? Don’t take no dummy!

Young Fernando gets through a power of unseen work. Very much like Brian Kerr in that respect:agree:

I would have Drogba and David Villa in front of Torres in a world 11 but thats just a personal view...

But not one of the greatest teams.

They're lucky they've got him and Gerrard, if they didn't they'd be fighting with Aston Villa and that for 6th place.

Think about what you're saying, there's nothing lucky about Liverpool.
Gerrard and Torres could be playing for anyone in the world but chose to Commit to Liverpool.

Also Torres and Gerrards success has been connected to first team coach and Liverpool's secret weapon,Mauricio Pellegrino.

When you're up against a striker as good as Torres, you do everything possible (legally) to try and stop him.

It's no different to how Carragher will be dealing with Owen and Rooney at the other end.

Him and Torres are on fire right now.

thats the thing, i've watched most Liverpool games this season in all competitions and until Saturday both Torres and Gerrard have been quite poor compared to their usual standard. Torres in particular has been sluggish and uninspired, but they've still scored a fair few goals between them - Torres is on 8 goals in 7 games now after Sat i think and on track to be the second or third fastest player to reach 50 goals in the Premiership

i watched ac milan last night, he was quiet and didnt look interested. they ended up drawing 0-0 and never really looked like a team capable of winning.
maybe a bit biassed as i had bet them and thought they were poor, i felt robbed as they were oddson
