This was my first Hibs game. My dad had offered to take me for years before but eventually I turned up at this game with my pals and the curse was upon me.The crowd tomorrow will probably be bigger than back then iirc

God I remember that game and i have programmes from that era too. The pitch was a skating rink. The Saints included one Alex McDonald in his second game for the club and described in the notes as "a lively young winger." Sounds so innocent doesn't he? he scored as well!
In the next home programme, Bob Shankly called the match "easily the poorest Hibs display that i can recall."

I remember the 3-3 draw in 1974 we were 0-3 down to a henry hall inspired saints and arthur duncan almost single handed got us back
into the game shooting up the slope in the second half pretty sure
alan gordon missed a sitter laid on by arthur in the last seconds for
what would have been an amazing victory any one else mind this one
or did i dream it in my youth
