Once again, we fall foul by indulging in our long-term folly of not competing against "smaller" teams. We should know by now that in the SPL any team can beat any other team, if the so-called more gifted outfit doesn't match them for effort and work rate. It's only when you match a weaker team on this commitment that football comes into its own. We're not good enough to have the arrogance to believe that we can sleepwalk our way to victory against any team.

It's the first time Yogi's Hibs have come up short here. He seriously will have to have a word, with himself too, as 4-3-3 doesn't work in the SPL without pacey full-backs, as you are repeatedly overwhelmed in midfield.

The St J games now take on the early mantle of a serious test of this side. Two defeats and we have a bottom six position and are out of one of the cups. Two wins and Hamilton is a blip.

A big week for our club.
