Anyone else agree that having at least some tickets on sale at ER in advance of today's game might have meant the turnstiles queues moved a bit quicker and avoided the ridiculous situation of the tent stand being opened (and pretty much filled) ten minutes in to the game? Very poor organisation from Hamilton IMHO.

Didn't help that while stewards at one end were sending fans along to the Gazebo stand, when we got there, stewards and polis were saying we couldn't get in. If most of us were like that in our jobs we'd get the boot, yet we go from ground to ground, in post Hillsborough times, and it's clear that crowd control organisation is in the hands of amateurs. What has to happen for them to get it right? Pars don't know how many to expect, Hamilton have no Plan b for a big crowd, Celtic stewards ignore or expel fans in seats with no view of the pitch, noone is allowed to ask a policeman what is going on without being accused of disorderly behaviour, and morons who offer up foul abuse to players are ignored. Strange that gates are falling isn't it?:grr:

In fairness to the coppers at the gates today, they took on board what people were saying, but the management of the turnstiles is the responsibility of the home club so they should have had their own staff out there to assess the situation rather than folk who haven't had the training to manage such a situation.

No problem with the turnstiles, though someone at Hamilton should have realised there were delays on the M8, it was inside the ground. Those of us delayed by the pie queue found the goal stand full after 5 minutes. The stewards by us said to go to the gazebo. When we got there, cops were saying only people coming from outside could go in but some stewards were saying in you go. This led to the dangerous situation where friends/family were being separated - some let in, some not. Surely there should be one voice, one match commander who tells stewards and polis what is happening?

There is, but he must have been in the pie queue as well.

We got to the ground around 1420 and by 1445 the stand seem full. I don't think Hamilton were prepared for any sort hibs support. They are very much a 1st division club and their facilities confirm that unfortunately no one told our players that today

While these games should never be ticket only, it would have helped had there been an advance sale facility too. But have to balance this against fact club are very poor at announcing games all ticket when in fact tickets are on sale at gate on day of game which then has negative affect on attendance.

And the idea that incompetence is only Hamilton is wrong, recall Queen of the South fans not getting in to ER for most of first half relatively recently because Hibs had no contigency for bigger than expcted support. At least Hamilton sorted things out fairly quickly yesterday (I got into see goals just - totally understand that those who missed the goals may not have been happy but everyone seemed to be in after 15 minutes) and in fact HAFC put Hibs effort at QOS game mentioned above to shame. Hearts are shocking too at this - try turning up for a game there and see the queues in ticket office for those who need to get ticket on day.

Btw official crowd of 4,000 looked serious understatement yesterday, think their capacity is 6,200 and am not sure where another 2,000+ would have got in yesterday.

No way on earth that there were only 4,000 there yesterday. Must have been something in the region of 2,300 Hibs fans there given the fact that the tent stand was virtually full.

I thought the Home support was embarrassingly low.
