Reasons for these particular choices

Wotherspoon I think despite it not being his preferred position has played well there whenever he's played right back.

I prefer Ian Murray in the midfield and I think that he'd do well in partnering McBride for the match.

I think Galbraith and Byrne deserve a chance to start and show what they have in ability and against St Johnstone is a good place to start.

Benji and Zemmama are no where near as effective when on ramadan so I feel that neither should start until fasting is over.

Miller starts from the bench as I don't know whether he is in a place to start at the moment or not.

I thought Cregg was woeful today so I expect him to be in the firing line for the chop. We need width and solidity and a 4-4-2 will give us that. I like McBride and he's defensively minded - good when you have a number of players who like to get forward.

It seems to me that not replacing Jones is causing all kinds of problems.

I have no opinion on the new guys in the team as i've not seen much this season but Miller, Zemmama, Bamba and Murray seems to be the strongest midfield we can field. It's balanced with left and right and also grit with creativity.

If we have to put bamba in at centre half then McBride still gives us the balance in midfield.

I actually can't believe we've not bought a centre half or a right back.

McCormack and Thicot would be the obvious choices but if they're not in Yogi's plans, he'd be as well getting rid as well.

The back four is a fairly obvious choice. Hogg's poor displays recently - particularly his distibution - see Ian Murray take his place. Murray, IMO, doesn't have the aeriel presence to play with Hogg, but Bamba is a different type of player all together.

McBride, I thought, was one of few players to get passmarks on Sunday. He was always available for the pass, and covered well in the fullback areas. He has no problems winning the ball either.

Wotherspoon and Miller both seem to be very mobile, and will get into those spaces to make themselves available for the pass. Both play with thier heads up, and have a lot of creativity. Neither of them seems to ignore defensive duties either, and want to get the ball as soon as the opponent has it.

Nish is suspended, so Benji gets his chance. His trickery unlocks defenses, and can give Stokes and Riordan so much space.

I have a nasty feeling Yogi might end up being as stubborn as Mixu. Sunday HT was the time to change things around - like Collins did - sticking with Nish was a bad idea, as he proved by getting dismissed.

Talk of formations is pretty futile - you can see he'll stick with ALL the players he's brought in AND Hogg.

Pretty sure both Zemmama and Benji will be on the bench after watching Zooma talking about Ramadan on HI. (Basically, he said they can't last a full game if it's played during the day.) But Ramadan finishes this weekend so they'll both be back in contention for a starting place from next week. Can't wait. :greengrin

We don't have a physical presence in the midfield, too often we have a small midfielder trying to compete with bigger players to win a header. For this reason I would have Bamba in the midfield to try and win some high ball possession.

I really hope Yogi doesnt subject us to another 4-3-3 formation. especially one that would require the forwards dropping into midfield to defend. Riordin and stokes are not the type to do it, and Zemmama wont last long doing it as he hasnt had many games and on ramadan. I think steady the ship, play 4-4-2, get confidence in there and then see what happens!

Most peoples choices are similar, apart from who plays right/left back.
I personally feel, that Hanlon has done nothing wrong in the start of this season, and that Kevin McCann still has a few points to prove, so id stick with Hanlon at left back, and use Ian Murrays versatility, and play him at Right full back. We dont necessarily need attacking full backs on both sides, and with the game on saturday, our full backs shouldnt have to get forward in the first place for us to turn over Perth Saints.
Maka back in goal, as he has served the club longer than Stack, and im still wanting this guy to come good, and eliminate his own mistakes.
With terrier like Cregg in the middle, pressing for the ball and winning tackles, McBride spreading the simple passes about, Liam Miller should be used in an advanced role infront of them two, with a wider Riordan, and Zemmama hitting the Flanks, leaving Stokes to hold up the ball, and spin off the last defender.

Wotherspoon has been a breath of fresh air, and id find it hard to leave him out after his impressive start, but i feel he could be more of an impact player of the bench, instead of Zemmama, if things arent going rosie.

I pretty much agree with this, although I don't know why stack doesnt even make the bench?! I probably would keep him as first choice for now even, but wouldnt argue much if maka got it back, but to not even give him a bench slot seems bizzare. I would probably also try and get rankin in there, probably in place of cregg.

look at chelsea they show how a diamond mid works. and most 442 are a diamond mid because you have a holding mid and a more attack minded mid
