Did anyone see this eejit's piece in the News of the World today. He had the cheek to take a pop at Scott Brown's gamesmanship against Macedonia, saying that Scotland were once known for their fair play.
Could this be the same Davie Provan who played in one of the nastiest Celtic teams I have ever seen. Among their sporting gestures were Roy Aitken screaming at opposing fans; Danny McGrain, and pals surrounding, pushing and intimidating referees; Johnny Doyle (RIP) stamping on Arthur Duncan's head. etc etc etc
Maybe he's confusing that Celtic team with the one that included John Hartson and Chris Sutton. You know, the one that took 500,000,000 fans to Seville and did not get on anyone't tits at all, let alone have anyone arrested. They remember them in Seville to this day.
