another generic premium tv site - how disappointing.

Really don't understand why the match footage has become less user friendly.

Its seriously cluttered, with bits flashing all over the place.

Not a fan...

been browsing around it for last 10mins and im neither impressed or offended.

typically generic football site imo, Still better than the old site though.

Only complaint is the advert in the middle of hibs content (EA Spore), keep all website adds to the margin's of pages, dont like having to look around an advert to see the content i was actually visiting the site for in the first place.

Big improvement, much more professional. Still a few gaps to be filled here and there - but where's the section with the post-war players appearances?

I think the website looks great and is a big improvement. The interactive part is great and is a lot easier to navigate round. I can't wait to watch the first game live on it.

Great job Hibs

Not a fan of PremiumTV but this isn't as bad as I feared. It could have been so much worse, and I assume the old team are still in charge of content?

It's a big improvement on the old site, so you can't really ask for much more to be fair.

Am I the only one who had absolutely no problem with the layout of the previous website?

Nope. I don't understand what exactly it was that people hated about the old site.

Menu's were clear and neat, all appropriate information was contained in a simple and neat way.

The old site was very tired and dated. It had had the same layout from since it first launched. Pictures were of poor quality and pixilated plus the squad profile section was a complete joke.

This in my opinion is a big step forward.

Liked the old. Like the new ..

BUT .. I would have offered a few days or a week's free access to Hibernian TV to draw people in.

This would also have let people see what they are missing - and they may have subsequently subscribed.

I like the new one - ok there are some adverts on it but overall more modern and better content.

The issue will be whether it stays up to date with news as thats why people come on here. Ok they won't post gossip but daily news from training etc would be a step forward with pictures etc.:agree:

Well unfortunately not.
The old site made us look like an amateur club

The new site has been built to make a bit more money for the club and that should be welcomed.

The Hibernian TV's complete overhaul is on a different planet to the user-unfriendly version Hibs previously had.

I think they have done a really good job to be honest. Looks a lot better than many other Premium TV sites.

Whoever writes the match reports, isnt 'Tragedy in Final Minutes' a bit of an over the top headline?? I mean, the womens team conceded a dodgy offside goal, they werent all swept off to their deaths by a freak tsunami or anything:rolleyes:

While I agree with that, I'm dissappointed that I can't fast forward whilst viewing.

Which browser are you using?
Using Firefox it let me skip through the videos and it did it pretty quickly considering my laptop is quite old. I think it's just a case of dragging the wee marker thing.

:agree: It works fine in IE7 as well.

Hibs TV seems to be running much more smoothly now, and with the flash videos it's cut out the irritating buffering from the old WMP/Real Player setup.

Surprisingly, both the main site and Hibs TV do actually look quite good despite using the premiumtv templates. Seems easy enough to navigate as well. Not a fan of the adverts though. Too distracting and tend to make the pages seem cluttered.

Dont post much here, more of the reading type. But just a quick solution to those of you who are a little peeved with the ads.

Download the Firefox plugin AdBlock Plus (providing you use firefox ofcourse) and subscribe to the Easylist (USA) filter. It blocks all the ads on the site.

I was wondering why there was a few spaces here and there that looked unaligned and out of place.

You'll pretty much never see an advert again on the web and all for the price of zilch. One of the best bits of software ive ever used.

As for the look of the site, its alot more professional looking than the older one, and the Hibernian TV section is also much more simpler and streamlined than before. For a PremiumTV site im fairly chuffed as ive seen in the past just how messy they can be.

I'm using Firefox and never had a problem previously.

I can FF on the promo, but if I select a game to watch that's not available.

EDIT: I can FF interviews but not games.:dunno:

Hopefully they will do this... maybe make sure the new site is working fine before doing so?

I think the new site is a little disappointing, being very current orthodoxy rather than more forward-looking, but it's done now. If the TV content is better laid out then that will be a big plus.

I hear her parents were far from happy with the inquiry about her sexuality. Her dad said it was a right kick in the baws for her.
