Van Basten - sealing the European Championship with a volley (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm1Ui5n_3oY&feature=related), from the right, on his right foot, across the keeper.
Agree with FR - he scored many, many belters and had one of the best misses I've ever seen in Euro 92 where he (if memory serves) struck a volley from way outside the box, on the turn, with the sort of natural thoughtlessness and insouciance that mere mortals could only apply to the likes of breathing. It hit the crossbar but was a better watch than many, many goals.

Cracking Final that. Vague childhood memories of watching it at the time though I can't remember if it was the first game or the replay (or both).
Good reminder of Joe Corrigan's ability. He looked a very good keeper. His only problem was that Ray Clemence and Peter Shilton were his peers.

Cheers mate thats the one. Always thought that if Riccardo Villa hadn't scored the goal that he did to win the Cup, then McKenzie's volley would have been regarded a lot higher over the years. As it was it wasn't even the best goal in that game !

Football's awfully cruel and usually fair. Sadly it means special moments like SMcK's goal often get lost.

Remember a peach of a dipping volley by Gordon Rae v the huns at ER over McCloy's head followed by another volley, just as good unfortunately by Jim Bett for the huns, game finished 1-1, probably 1979.
Tam's at ibrox was as good as any I've ever seen.
