Anyone know the form for this game? Quite fancy a wee bet for a bit of interest when I get home from work tonight.

Check the bottom of the page, but if Argentina lose and Ecuador win their game, the Argies will fall into the play off spot. There's not much to choose from the top few teams though in terms of points.

Just a fiver but won a couple of daft bets on the game. Bet that nobody would hit the woodwork and both halves to have the same number of goals. Ended up about a tenner up.

They are gash but I thought they'd be up for it even more than usual with them toiling in the qualifiers. Hime advantage seems to be important on South America. Shows you what I know!!

Had a treble of Scotland, Rep Of Ireland and Brazil. £10 returned £102 :greengrin
I stayed up for the Brazil game last night. Argentina need to sack Maradona. I've seen them a few times under his management and he really doesn't have a clue. Daft formations and strange player selection. He really looks way out of his depth.

:agree: As we know King Paddy, Le God and Sir Sixtu, unfortunately being a legend as a player does not always make a great manager.

Yeah, I think it's true what they said in the commentary, that maradonna makes it all about him and not about the team. Also Riquelme is a huge loss. Veron is too old to run the middle of the park without him.

Brazil were pretty impressive.

Hard to see past them for the WC next year.

Argentina really need to get their act together. They have a tough game away to Paraguay on Wednesday

I think Spain are the team to beat. They seem to be putting a team together, and are getting better and stronger all the time. And of course England will be hard to beat too.

Surely the bookies have closed the book with England being such huge favourites to reclaim their rightful place at the top.

At least if we don't make we'll still have the fun of watching Ian Wright and co when England fail to live up to expectations AGAIN!
