I've uploaded the video with my own account... it should take them a while to find it and block it.

It looked real nasty!

The victims face was in shock and pain!

Feel sorry for the lad.

that was sick.

See the boy got banned for 11 games.

The look on his team mates face says it all before it goes to the replay

Hardly surprising, was a shocker. Think the lads career will be over. Seem to remember reading he was highly rated and was being watched by top clubs in Europe

Sorry the boy who made the tackle, Witsel, was the one who was highly rated

The guys career has been ended..... His should be finished too!

Something that makes the video even more sick is the fact that he shows no guilt for what he did.... he actually has a smirk on his face! :bitchy:

Said that the guy is likely to be out for at least up to 13 months and that boy gets a 3 month ban. Something not right there.

Yeh i noticed that smirk aswell.

Should be banned for life - shocker, no place for this in football. I have seen to many careers effectively ended by thugs like this. e.g. John Brownlie

What an horrendous challenge from a man that had no intention to get the ball what so ever. If that happened in the SPL I'm sure Gordon Smith would call for a two game ban  Play football again, this guy will be lucky to go jogging....

Not comparable in any way shape or form

Straight leg tackles, designed to look innoxious but also designed to hurt the other player.

Agreed. The damage caused to John Brownlie was totally accidental whereas the guy making the tackle in that clip went over the ball intentionally :agree:

Only in severity, regardless of this there is no place for this type of thuggery in football. The sentence for this kind of behaviour must be to ban the culprits for life. People like Souness and Roy Keane are just apologises for human beings, they were never footballers in a million years. Heroes not in my book.

I am reminded of the Jim Brown/John Pelosi case and the Steve Murray/Jamie Dolan case. These tackles destroy lives, I hope that if a player ever did this in a Hibs jersey the club would sack him immediately.
