Out of pocket to the tune of £700 because of the ******* who owned and worked in this place.

Just found out they have gone into administration and we are waiting on table, chairs and chest of drawers. Placed orders 13 weeks ago and told that it would take 8-12 weeks for manufacture and delivery.

Phoned the store 3-4 times from 8 weeks onwards and told that chairs had arrived just waiting on table and chest of drawers:blah:.

Cheeky ********** then sent letters out telling us about a 'closing down sale' of the Edinburgh branch and they were 'focusing attention' on New showrooms in Pollockshaws and Uddingston.

Now in administration, no sympathy for the staff who perpetually lied to us, i thought there was legislation that existed that prohibits trading whilst knowingly insolvent?

Two seperate orders one placed on credit card and one on visa debit, now will have to go through a hugely laborious process to get any goods or money back.

Anyone been through anything similar or have any advice?

Mrs Eskbankhibby understandably upset about all this. (i'm f****** raging)

contact your Trading Standards dept in the Council for advice on how to speed things up.

Keep calm and they will help. Remember you are not alone in this situation.

The amount you paid on credit card should, IIRC, be refunded by your credit card company.

I'm in the same position mate to the tune of £296.:grr:

Just been talking to Administrators Campbell Dallas 0141 887 4141 who are dealing with this.

They say it is early days and Artisans book keeping was "not the best"

They are compiling a spreadsheet of all the outstanding orders so give them a ring and give them the details of your order.

1000 people in the same boat apparently.

Aye, not good mate.

Cheers for the info, sounds like they were a shambles.

Where were you last night son?

Sorry to hear about your fiasco with Artisan. I know someone who could have made you a nice table

You will get the credit card money refunded and if the chairs have been earmarked for delivery to you (i.e. they can be shown to be your chairs), you should actually get them (it's called the law of ascertained goods). Good luck - it's why I always buy stuff with a credit card.

Sounds promising thanks for that.

Credit card transactions would seem to be the way forward after speaking to the administrators who recommend we get the ball rolling with reclaiming the amount lost.

Going to be a long road thouigh for customers trying to get goods or money back and i notice that Artisan have tried to put a disgracefully positive spin on this on their website now.
