Found the guy at 0:20 in the stands more entertaining than the footage tbh

Hanlon did pretty well to pull out of that tackle:agree:
Good game for the young man.

..and as you say some fans got caught up in the heat :thumbsup:and others realised they would be on telly and sat pretty still:thumbsup:

I've still got Celtc supporting mates that say it wasn't a dive

Plain as day that he fell over. McGeady's reaction to the red i.e. none tells it's own story.

He cheated and got caught.

An obvious red. That the simian-headed one can argue otherwise is just evidence that he's a plum:agree:

The thing that annoys me about this dive is that some folk were dismissing it because of where it was on the pitch. I heard the radio say that Eduardo's was different because he won a penalty that changed the game.

If the ref had given a free-kick, then he has to at least book Hanlon, so he then has to be careful with every challenge after that. It also would have given Celtc another chance to lump the ball into our box.

So if Hanlon had been booked, and Celtc scored from the free-kick, would McGeady's actions have been more like cheating? Just because he got caught and Celtc never profited from it, doesn't take away the fact that fundamentally, he dived/cheated.

:agree:
How can anybody seriously argue that a dive doesn't matter if it has no major impact on the game. A dive is a dive is a dive.
In fact if a player is going to run the risk of being caught cheating when there is no major gain to be made then they should get an extra yellow card for sheer bloody stupidity.

:agree: That's the key. Similarly, you occasionally see a forward dive in the box when it looks easier to score from that position than from the penalty spot. Calculation: get an opponent sent off and a pen, rather than just a goal.

Has Gordon Smith commented on McGeady's calculated cheating yet? :dunno:

I don't understand Mowbrays comments about it not being a dive, McGeadty tried to gain an unfair advantage by falling down and looking for a free kick. If Hanlon had been booked would we hear Mowbray coming out saying it was not a booking as his player was never touched??

Mowbray talks a good game but he has made a bit of an **** of himself with this episode.

Cheating is cheating IMHO

The angle from behind the incident (at ground level) shows clearly that he was lookin to go down before Hanlon even went near him.

Got what he deserved IMHO. Very disappointed at Mowbray though..wouldnt even look at the incident.

Anybody got any views on the linesman's indicative immediate decision in the final replay? SFA care to explain how he would come to that one?

"uncompromising challenge from Paul Hanlon" :wtf:

One of those uncompromising challenges where the player doesn't actually make any contact. :bitchy:

"McGeady biggest crime was taking the easy way out after hurdling two tackles in the lead-up the incident."

What tackles were these???

Mowbray was bumping his gums about these "tackles" as well. Is that a case of the papers pampering to the Old Firm again and trying to back up Mowbray with these non-existent challenges?

Mowbury summary of comments.

'Poor wee Aiden was very very tired after running so far evading tackles that he needed a lie down'

:wtf: Tony 5 minutes back in Glasgow and you are Brain washed...what happened to the overly Honest after match assesments

McGeady has only a short while earlier had a foul against him when Halon again got the better of him and McGeady got hold of his shirt..Hanlon did his chances of keeping LB no harm
