I was told today that Hearts have reduced the capacity at Tynie a fair bit with them having to make the track round the pitch and dugouts bigger, so they can play at home during euro matches....that will be 1 match!! :)
Since they couldnt make the pitch smaller they had to remove a row or 2 all the way round.

Can anyone confirm as I thought he was having a random spraff.......

Cheers

I believe they did.

I wonder how much the contruction work cost in comparison with what they'll recoup from 1 game. :faf:

They definitely removed seating in the main stand to increase size of dugout area (and behind them) and also Laszlo also requested they changed sides. Seating looks like it has also been removed from the Roseburn and Gorgie ends (at the front rows). Had the unpleasant task of being there for both their pre-season friendlies. It was either to comply with UEFA regulations or to build a drive-thru for Nade.

Are you sure it's not just a 'warm up' area for Nade?

/doh - truehibernian beat me to it

So... since Vlad has been running the show, the seating capacity at Tynie has actually fallen?

It's all just going perfectly to plan, no?

ER must have a higher capacity by now, no? They're 100% pish and spin so wouldn't admit to it :greengrin

Since the beginning of season 2005-06

Hahahearts biggest crowd has been 17,371 against us on 28.01.2006.

On 19.10.2008 our crowd against them was 17,223.

Both crowds recorded as 100% capacity.

Only 50 seats in it and with their capacity reduced

Dont know the actual figures today.

He prefers heat-ups.
Preferably Rustlers, I hear.

And just for good measure...

I heard they took out some rows, for a seat on the bench for nade, decreased the capacity quite steeply.:agree:

I think they also had to take a few rows out to put their 5 star plush new press boxes in :cool2:

There's little doubt it'll be steeply in that ****hole. You're almost sitting on shoulders of the guy in front of you.

Lets face it Vlad and Yamsnil are not going to worry about tiny differences between 50 and 148 when they have been losing millions for years

How much longer will the current PBS be granted a safety certificate? I thought one of the reasons the pieman had to move them was that the stadium had only been built to last for 10 years or so.

Otherwise, why move to Murrayfield so you can build a new stadium?
