skint enough to afford a £110,000 per week contract for torres untill 2013 :agree:

I think they are pretty skint. Giving Torres £110k a week pays for itself in merchandising deals etc, plus it guarentees them a large transfer fee if he leaves anytime.

I think they are very much an institution in decline.

Going by what it says then we must be skint :boo hoo: Torres signing a new contract was fantastic but ... we also need to improve the rest of the team, can't say this signing will have your man utd's and chelsea's shivering with fear :grr:

i read online that Benitez has been left with a transfer kitty of two million after what he's spent already, even with everything he's recouped. Apparently he was well aware of the fact that if he wanted to give torres, gerrard and co massively improved contracts.

that's astonishing to me.

He couldn't handle Garry O'Connor a few years back.

This must be a wind up. They must have better defensive players in the reserves. What about that Jack Hobbs boy? Isn't he meant to be the next Ron Yeats? Kyrgiakos' display in the 0-3 cup game at Hunbrox was utter pash. Getting pushed all over the place and zero positional sense.

:agree: They won't even be cringing with oozeness, never mind shivering with fear.
