Gotta be one of the earliest sackings into a season.

some of you people on this thread are "shooting" their mouth off and some are a bit of a loose "Cannon"

This reminds me of when the showman Barnum's 'human cannonball' was killed in action.

Barnum commented:

"We will never find a man of his caliber again"!

I'm going out shortly, but I'll rifle through these posts to find a decent pun later.

The supporters were a bit quick on the trigger shooting their mouths off asking for him to be fired. I think he had his sights set on a longer career than this though.

So Delia cooked him up a 'Bombe Surprise'....

They'll be glad to have got shot of him

I've no even used my season ticket yet and I'll be looking at a new manager already!

Not many tears being shed down here other than in the Gunn household I think. The board should never have appointed him in May after the caretaker role didnt work out.

Gee whizz, it's a revolvering door down there.

Plan F for Norwich.

Sympathy uzing out for him.

A little harsh, after two games. Still, that just shows how much results are becoming imperitive so early in the season.

He wouldn't leave Tynie - would he?

I thought he was so happy there....

Would I want Plan F at Norwich? :hmmm:

On the positive side it would cause chaos over the road :greengrin
He does seem to be able to pull a team together that will fight and scrap which is what Norwich will need this year but could i ever get round that fact that he is a Yam fud?

I think I might need to get a bigger NorwichHibs banner :flag:

I know they lost 7-1 at home last week but it's a bit strange sacking him on the back of a 4-0 victory in the cup in midweek.

You would have thought that the board would have sacked him last Saturday night.

I know losing as heavily as that, especially in a home game, is completely unacceptable but you would have thought that he would have got a bit longer than just one league game.

You're right. Although you'll probably find they had to sound out a new manager before binning Gunn.

I suspect expect they asked Shaun Lawson to write a paper on it and it turned into a 400,000 word dissertation.

Are they going to advertise in the local press, or a magazine?

Is Delia Smith still involved with the club?

What they need is some more motivational speeches from her, that'll sort them out

If he's in their sights that'll trigger a barrel of protest in Gorgie. They'll be pistol day.

He'd always been their target as they rifled through applications.

The theory about the East Anglian clubs being loyal to their managers is surely now well and truly shot to pieces.

What an appalling decision that is. Beggars belief after 2 games and especially when they had a great win in midweek after the freak Colchester score first up.

Gotta be one of the earliest sackings into a season.

That's very harsh. Should've been given the benefit of the doubt after that first game. Even though they were annihilated at home still seems unfair....

They have to be careful with the appointment to make sure they dont repeater the same mistake. Surely they need experience, not some young colt. Heard the guy from Enfield might be interested, but Arsenal may be out of their reach.

They'll have to advertise the position in the magazine to find the automatic choice.

Folk should really stop sniping at him, it's totally unfair.

I know the fans were gunning (double pun right thurr) for him after the 7v1 home reverse and they are entitled to after parting with their hard earned cache.

No wonder he left though, there was bound to be Bedlam after last weekend's result.

:faf:

New man will sign two full backs - Smith and Wesson but rely heavily on the Colts for the other positions. Having said that I hear they made a late bid to take Velicka before Bristol City got him. Sadly they missed out on de-ranger

I'll get my coat (bullet proof of course) :greengrin
