Shelton Martis will be doing everything to make up for his mistake that gave Gerrard the goal that relegated WBA, they were going down anyway but Martis looked quite decent last season actually

And another one of our old boys (Chris Killen) also scored today. He must be due a sick note shortly - that's at least a month he's been injury free.

You sure it wasnt his own goal he scored into?

It was actually a good goal - close in, but he showed sharp reflexes and a cool head.

He could could have had one earlier on, too.

Big Sheldon COULD have been on a hat-trick right now....

Initially thats what I thought, the TV was in the other room, I ran through to see what had happened and I then saw Martis being showered by West Brom players congratulating him so I assumed it was a proper goal, and then the replay confirmed that!

Had to check though due to his past experiences! :greengrin

"Make Martis head the ball," says Lawrenson.

When did Martis ever head the ball?

With any idea of where it was going to end up, that is?

I can't help feeling that building your defence around Sheldon Martis isn't the most obvious recipe for success....

Martis. Never ever Hibs class, but ended up doing the business at WBA. This must mean the SPL is better than we all think:confused:

"Doing the business" - in what sense exactly?

He isn't looking too clever right now.

Well OK, he's 'getting a game' then. More than I thought he was capable of in his Hibs days. I know theres an argument that he was underrated but I could never ever see it.

Great shot stopper, but not the best at coming for crosses.
