It was brought to my attention that Sky Sports are asking football fans to vote for their all time greatest player. Personally I voted for Eddie Turnbull for us, but the best part is Aberdeen's poll.

Amongst other Aberdeen heroes in the poll is "Long serving striker" Darren Mackie, they even have a picture of him below Jim Leighton on the Aberdeen page. I think considering people from all types of Scottish teams are voting for the hapless striker, as Hibby's it is our duty to ensure that the sheep have by far the worst player ever to be considered a "great" voted their "greatest".

VOTE MACKIE! The sheepies need your vote.

:wtf:

Thinking the same thing! As much as the likes of Latapy are quality, if Reilly, and as someone below said Baker, are worse than Russel, then I am extremely dissapointed and feel that people have exaggerated the famous five etcs ability.

What a crappie poll. Obvious names missed out and to include George Best is laughable. Alright he was a great player in his time with Man U but well past his best in the few games that he wore the green.

Who makes up those polls.

They were all before my time but I know enough of our history to know that Joe Baker, Lawrie Reilly and Willie Hamilton should have been the first names on the list.

The list was probably made up by some Sky reporter who has never been to Scotland far less Easter Road.

Have any of you voted Mackiegol yet?

Come on lads, if you think the people shortlisted are so ridiculous it's time to make a farce of the whole thing by voting one of Scottish football's most successfull club's greatest players as Darren Mackie, one of the SPL's worst players.

Every vote is needed, vote Mackiegol. :greengrin
