Just been into one of the Blackburn forums and a couple of posters seemed to think that there had been trouble outside the ground tonight.

Anybody know if there is any substance to that. The posters seemed to think it had been started by Hibs fans looking for a fight.

Dont know if there is any truth in it, but I hope not.

Really looking forward to Bolton on Saturday and dont want it spoiled by mindless prats.

I doubt it's true. Deeks was in Southampton apparently.

First I've heard. Hibs fans were in good spirits, plenty of police around the ground and, well, they'd have done well to find any Blackburn fans to scrap with.

According to the local in this vid (pished admittedly) the cops have been warning clubs and bars to expect trouble.

Load of Pi$h
Not enough of a Blackburn support there tonight.
Police had a good presence.
Asked the right questions.
When they asked how long we were staying in the area, I said about 40years,
they saw the good side of it.
A little bit different to going to Glasgow.

The Hibs support was well behaved.

Cut a long story short we Know how to behave ourselves. Be it 500 tonight or 3000 on Saturday.

A few casuals got knocked back from the polis and a couple got lifted and a few guys got huckled for being drunk. Non events really....

Had a text from someone there who said they hadn't seen any trouble but were aware of a Hibs casual presence

There was around30 - 40 in the fernhurst car park before the game, but i certainly never heard or saw anything happen, although i did leave straight after the match.

Didn't seem to many hanging around after the game, and the 'reports' elsewhere suggest that the incident happened before the game? If that was so then I doubt the police and stewards would have been anywhere near as light-hearted as they were.

Didn't see any hassle at all. Quite a big police pressence and all were searched going into the gound (even my laddie at 14). Police and stewards alike were fine, vastly superior to the weegie polis & cock steady crew.

Killed off half of Lancashire with his deadly pastry. Part of a turf war with Eccles, I believe.

Never saw any trouble before or after. Police were top quality / friendly.

Blackburn supporters seemed pretty amazed at turnout we could get for a friendly.

"10 men couldnae carry Nade" song at half time had cops laughing

Is that what Ketamine does to you? I was thinking of trying it, but this has persuaded me to just say no.

Don't worry the trouble which will happen on Saturday is simply to protect the rest of us.

Just a shame the punters who cause it won't be around to help when innocent Hibs fans are attacked later on in retaliation as happened at Preston a few years back.

Pathetic.

There were 6 arrests at the time our bus left. Our bus left Blackburn a few people lighter than it went down.

Working class town with plenty of working class boozers. After match had a few pints waiting on train back to manchester - locals heard the accents and started the anti Scottish wind ups looking for reactions.

If you wanted nonsense I'm sure plenty of the locals would have obliged. if you just wanted a few jars then not a problem. Just pick and choose the pubs carefully

I've been told that quite a few boys are making the trip on Saturday.

Maybe it'll kick off big style like it did in Telford a few years back during 'The Big Adventure' pre-season! :faf:

Had to laugh at the almighty "BOOOOOOO!" when they turned the TV off to get everyone out of the concourse and back to their seats! :greengrin

I got it on vid - will try and upload it.

For the record, saw no trouble at all last night. Everyone was in high spirits, from what we saw. Know of one guy who got lifted for being drunk and spent the night in the cells - was released this morning.

 Probably however they laughed when I told my son to take his hands out of his pockets :greengrin he has never been searched at a game before.

I hope you have had a word with your 'source' also. He was missed badly last night.

Was in the Fernhurst till chucking out time and not a spot of bother that I seen, hung around in the car park waiting waiting for a cab and the rest of the guys but seen nothing there, Pub staff were great and I thought the Polis were to, apart from the pointless searching of everyone.

There were about twenty of them in the Fernhurst after the game. Older guys with a couple of younger camp-followers. They were in a couple of mini-buses but there was no trouble as the police had it sussed and hung around till they left. By the way, police were excellent - good humoured and chatty. Special mention must go to the woman PC in the concourse. Pleasant and an absolute babe!

Yip, something lothian and borders police, and those pricks from the west could learn a lot from. The police last night had it spot on, they deserve all the praise they get, they are only doing their jobs, but there is a right way and a wrong way.:top marks

Shows that courtesy certainly works both ways. Refreshing change from the policing the last time I went to Ewood though, surrounded by bobbies getting an escort to the ground from the station:confused:

Ah, think I know who you were talking about, maybe the Polis did take the sting out of it before anything did happen, the 2 big polis horses at the pub before Kick off might have helped! I agree the policing was good and we were all impressed by said WPC too!

I heard from a few 'faces' that it might get 'tasty' on Saturday. I think they were disappointed that the steak pie bridies ran out early over in Dunfermline, so they are obviously anticipating that Bolton's barmcakes will last a little longer.

I'm eagerly anticipating some nice food. My one concern is this obsession with Chorley the police and thug elements seems to have. As one said: I'm not that bothered about the game, as long as I get a good drink in Chorley.

This Chorley must be some place.

As long as it disnae get tastey near the ground. taking my six year old to the game and i hope these ********s are lifted and sent back homewards to think again.

Barstewards the lot of them. they obviously don't care about Hibs and they should go and watch the Yams, then they would violence on and off the pitch.
