There are currently less than 100 tickets left out of the initial 1500 briefs sent to ER. Another 500 are being sent to ER overnight. Well done guys, great effort:thumbsup:

What is our allocation is it only going to be 2000 as I won't be getting my tickets until Friday

Realistically then, we will probably sell 2000 tickets.
But am I not right in thinking that there are going to be cash turnstiles?

I reckon an easy 3000 Hibs fans if we have already sold 1500..

Lots of guys I know arent buying tickets they are paying in on the day of the game.

Makes sense to have a cash gate..

After all it's a testimonial with all proceeds going to charity, cant see them knocking back money, especially if there is plenty room in the top tier

Me and the rest of my group (6 in total) will be buying on the day. We'll get to the stadium 15 minutes early just to make doubly sure, but not way will there not be a cash gate. Did I not read somewhere that the away end at Bolton has a capacity of something like 5-6,000??

No worries :agree:

Its down to the police if there is a cash gate or not. If there is, they are not like ours. You queue up at a seperate window, pay your cash get the ticket and walk round the ground again.

Can we not contact Bolton/Hibs to get this cleared up? surely they could just make announcement stating it is all ticket or not, Cant see the police wanting 1000-1500 away fans milling around the ground not knowing if they will get in, it sounds like a recipe for trouble

Exactly why the current emphasis is on encouraging people to buy their tickets before they travel, so that all concerned have a better idea of the number of Hibs fans coming down here.

But if there is a confirmed pay gate nobody will be milling around.

So what do I do - I'm going down on Friday to stay with my in laws. I will be taking the bairns to the game but I will try and persuade my father and brother in law to go as well, but oh no you have to buy a ticket in advance, which means going down to ER or get shafted with booking fees and how many do I buy 3 or 5!!

Excuse me but if it wasn't for the fans there wouldn't be a game.

Cash gate please - it's not like we're going to take more than a few thousand

How many times do we hear a game is going to be all ticket only for it then to be cash gate. Happens EVERY time we play st mudden for example.

I can understand the old bill want to have an idea on numbers but it never works as we always end up with at least 25% more turning up.

It wouldn't be as bad if we didn't get fleeced by booking over the phone. That is what pi$$es me off more than anything.

Last week I booked 2 tickets for Preston game and 2 for Bolton and got charged 4 (FOUR) booking fees at £1.50 a time. :grr: I picked the bl00dy things up at ER on Saturday so why should I have to pay a booking fee.

If I go to the ticket office I don't pay so where is the difference between answering a phone and answering someone from behind a glass panel. NONE.
Rip off and I would imagine that is why a lot of fans will not buy tickets before hand.

Petrie - get it sorted.

But the problem isn't with fans milling around, as there are always contingency plans to deal with such incidents (trust me, I've known enough such situations), but a case of having a decent idea of how many is coming down. The pre-sales won't give the total figure, but it will certainly give a good indication.

Of course, its not ACTUALLY Petrie who is responsible for this side of things, but still, why have a go at Ticketmaster when you could target our own club

If there's not a cash gate, then Lancashire police are a) a bunch of half-witted wallies and b) will have a serious crowd control issue on their hands.

The club appointed ticketmaster knowing the terms on which tickets would be sold. If you phone the ticket office direct you are still charged the same booking fee as you would when dealing with the the ticketmaster run "hotline." That to me suggests the club can be criticised over the fees etc.

I emailed Bolton a couple of weeks ago and they replied quite quickly and at that point they hadn't decided whether or not there would be a cash gate. I suspect there will be a way of paying on the day but we decided that buying tickets in advance will save any potential problems.

If you can, pick up tickets in advance.

Good ticket sales.

Shame we can only take around a quarter of that though to games 150 miles in the opposite direction which actually mean something though.

Re: cash turnstiles, phone Bolton or Hibs. I'm 99% sure they are not going to turn away ticketless fans.

Ticketmaster should NOT be charging a booking fee for this game. They waived this fee due to the fact that all proceeds for this match are going to the 3 charities.

I got four tickets and was charged £1.50 per ticket (booking fee) they also asked for £4.50 to get them sent out an absolute joke. Wasn't aware of the point you've made above.

I am just wondering, did they waive the booking fees, or have they decided to donate them to the charities given that some people still appear to be getting charged them.

I would keep that quiet.

The Paedofinder General on Kickback will denounce you as a beast and will now be organizing a mob of peasants with blazing torches to hunt you down!

That is after they they have dealt with Zemmama.

AllTurnstyles for the lower tier will be open for the Hibernian fans to pay at the gate. There will also be provision in place to open the upper tier should this be required.

Hibs have now informed Bolton, that the original estimate of 1100-1500 travelling fans is more than likely well short of the mark, and have further advised that there will be a large contingent travelling without tickets from Edinburgh and beyond.

Early admittance is advised for those without tickets. There is a pretty tight schedule of events during the course of the day and the night, so a delayed kick off is not an option.

Have to say that's a terrific response from the supporters who I'm sure will have great day. Hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves on and off the pitch.

Well done to everyone concerned. :agree:
