C'mon Andy you can do it.

P.S. This is a good luck thread and not to be confused with the Andy Murray mother bashing thread.

Federer starts at 1 and it usually takes him under 2 hours to bore the arse off everyone. Then Murray will come on and go through a pointless warm-up etc.

I reckon 330 and they'll start.

Is there such a thing as 7-0 in a tie break?

Anyone on here going to watch it on the big screen at Festival Square as I may be tempted if the weather holds out and it doesn't rain.

He's really fired up for the second set, outsatnding couple of games :agree:

Was it Murray or Roddick that went for the pee break? If it was Murray he must have been bursting in the first set

It says that Roddick only lost 1 of 6 tiebreaks.

:agree:

Roddick is playing really well, and making very few unforced errors.

Murray needs to take any chances he gets this set or it's all over.

Looks to me like he's trying to force the issue a bit too much, think he could be doing with winning a 'big point' to help him relax.

So frustrating and gutting, but unfortunately Murray was nowhere today really was a shadow of himself. Roddick was good but Murray was more than capable of beating him, just such a let down of a performance from him. Shame. Hope he doesn't end up with a wimbledon record like Henman's - Semi-Final x4 and disappointment aplenty! :boo hoo:

Spot on.. Murray never adapted to the Roddick serve..

Slightly unrelated.......did Henman get that tie from Stevie Wonder?

Totally agree. Well done Roddick!

Shame the final will be a walkover for Federer as Roddick simply cant beat him, he always struggles against him

I had to go out so I missed the last set or so, but from what I saw Roddick fully deserved his victory. Which is hard for me to say as I really don't like him.

Murray had his chances but just couldn't convert them into vital points that could have made the difference. He has an excellent tournament, he has improved on last year's display and he'll just need to go one step further next year.

I hope Federer hammers Roddick on Sunday and claims an historic 15th Grand Slam title.

Go Roger!

thought both players played well. if murray had won the set point in the 3rd it was game over.

its only a matter of time for andy if he stays injury free.

Thought it was a good game of tennis...altho thought that Murray V Wawrinka has been one of the best matches this year.

Can Roddick beat Fed?.....I'd like to think so but cannae see it....watched the highlights of his match against Haas and he looks pretty much invincible.

Murray's made good progress this year and as mentioned, by Roddick afterwards, Murray will win Wimbledon in the next 2 to 3 years.

Hibbie_Cameron

Murray v Federer was the final everyone wanted. Obviously because of Andy being Scottish but also becuase it was the best possible final and the best possible chance of the great man losing.

Roddick deserved to win today but IMO Federer will beat him quite easily on sunday by 3 straight sets
