Aye I think you're right with that. I knew I recognised the name. You go past it on the 44 just before what used to be my stop at the garage. Craziness.

Spot on. Near the training ground of Edinburgh's famous "Gel Boyz" as pictured with latest signing Rob Jones in my avatar. Could be part of a turf war......

Do criminals not realise that speeding off actually draws more attention rather than pulling away quietly and therefore hampering their chances of actually getting away.

How many people get up at night and look out the window when someone jumps in a car quietly and drive away. How many get up and get a look at a car they hear speeding away and generally remember more details than if something is as passive as a car pulling away at normal speed.

Me or any of my neighbours saw anything last night. It was foggy as **** and by the time you got to the window they were away.

Take it from me there was no speeding vehicles involved, just gunshots and screaming.

It was really foggy last night actually now I think of it. Maybe not stupid after all.

Not good that you had to hear that. Hope everything is cool as I know people can get quite worried through that sort of thing.

I'm fortunate that living close to Tynecastle makes me pretty much safe from this sort of thing.

It's highly unusual for anybody to get a shot on target around these parts.

I see Paisley Drive has moved to Duddingston according to this.... http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/topstories/Police-wait-to-interview-gun.5400585.jp

I also found the below quote comforting...

Det Supt Jones said that the shooting was an "incredibly unusual" incident and that there will be additional high-visibility police patrols on the street to reassure residents in Duddingston.

That good stuff from the police there considering Paisley drive is in Willowbrae (or argubaly Meadowfield but definitley not Duddingston :grr:)

As a former Duddingston Primary pupil, it's only right the residents of Duddingston are protected over those from Northfield / Willowbrae etc
