You watch that and think that it's no wonder many people have little or no confidence in our Police Force. If they were as big and bravado with the proper criminals then maybe the streets would be a safer place to be.

Come on Chuckie!! Those officers behaved outrageously!! Absolutely no need to hold someone around the neck, press fingers into the pressure point and deliberately stand on her. :grr::grr:

There seems to be more and more cases of policemen concealing their numbers these days, which suggests its not just isolated cases...I wonder who is telling them to do it?

I've always found that they won't give out there number if you have a complaint against them and then threated you with BOTP or the cells.

Who are the courts going to believe if you've been arrested on the night of the complaint regardless of whether your complaint was before or after their offence.

Met chief: police 'should wear name tags and face sack for hiding ID'

Police officers should wear name tags on their uniforms and those who deliberately hide their identity could be sacked, Met Commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson said today.

"I have made it absolutely clear it is totally unacceptable for any uniformed police officer not to be showing relevant identification. I have also made it clear that I will deal appropriately and proportionately with any such breach."

He added: If somebody is trying to deliberately avoid being identified and the reason he is doing it is so he can behave inappropriately, badly or criminally, then of course they will face the sack."

Can the police officers that were involved in this thuggery expect to be sacked then?

The way i read your post was:

Police Shouldnt wear name tags and wear a face sack for hiding ID

It just took me about 2 minutes of reading it to see how daft i was being haha.

I think what they done was out of order and it does make you wonder how much of this goes on that you never hear about or peoples claims are dismissed.

They'd have more time on their hands to police the streets if they didn't have to concern themselves with these anarchists.. The police by and large do a difficult job very well..

The problem I've encountered with most police officers I know or have dealt with is that they have developed a mentality which suggests they are on or near the top of the ladder of authority, and the public are at the bottom.

They don't realise it's the other way around and they exist to SERVE the public.

That's the myth that is perpetuated.

The reality is they exist to protect those who employ them - not the same as those who pay for them.

It's only natural that their employers will want to look after them too, hence the cover-ups.

They're protesting in a democracy, whether you agree with their reasoning or not that does not give them right to violently pull these people off the street. Read 1984!

If you don't see anything wrong with what happens in that footage I'd suggest there's something slightly wrong with you.

Read the thing again eh. The two women arrested were not in fact protestors. They were there monitoring Police behaviour around the protestors. Seems the Police didn't take kindly to being monitored. The question being why? If they were behaving in a fit and proper manner as laid down in the rules then what's to worry them? :hmmm:

Asking a policeman for his number is so passe, surely in this day and age if you want to arrange a date you use Facepak, or FEBO (is this right???).

Just watched that, and i find it shocking. These people are supposed to uphold the law, not break it. Not the brightest coppers eh, they have even filmed it, giving those women the evidence to help prosecute them.:faf: I hope they are sacked and jailed, its no more than they deserve.
