Michael Vick

Has been released from his contract... and allegedly is heading to the New England Patriots... anyone heard similar? It was just a small piece in the paper so probably nonsense.

Any team that signs him must be mad or desperate.

Its just rumors. Vick would not make sense in New England for a number of reasons. I'm not even sure if he'll play in the NFL next year. Even if he get reinstated right away, he'll miss half of training camp to start with. He's going to need the practices and preseason games to get ready to play after this layoff. Vick may end doing like Ricky Williams and play a season in another league first, like the CFL or the new UFL.
