So, with the second major of the year starting tomorrow, what are everyone's thoughts?

Tiger has to be favourite - he's hitting some real form at the moment, although consistency seems to be taking it's time for him, particularly with the putter at the moment!

Can't wait for it to get underway!

Tiger has got be the red hot favourite but I've got a wee wager on both Jim Furyk and Ben Curtis.

I really enjoy the TV coverage of the US Open and I'm hoping that nobody runs away with it as it would spoil the final night's viewing!

Can't see past Tiger. He is playing great just now and won at Bethpage Black when the US Open was played there in 2002.

Tiger will go into it with less focus on him than usual too, on the sad news surrounding Phil Mickelson's wife, Amy. Phil will be desperate to try and get, what would be a very emotional and favourable (with the US public/media) win.

Geoff Ogilvy is my outside runner - he's having a good season and usually plays well in the US Open.

Tiger has to fav to win it

I think casey has a chance as he hits it long and never misses the fairway which is whats needed in the us open even more so this week as its the 2nd longest course in us open history and its to rain on all 4 days so there will be no run.

Mcilroy and cabrera are my other 2 bets :agree:

Apparantly the course is very damp. Its the second longest layout in US Open history and with 4 days of rain forecast its going to be playing very very long. I'd be backing the big hitters, Woods, Casey, Cabrera, V Singh etc etc.

Someone who monsters the ball off the tee will win this one I think.

Going for £5 each way on Charl Swartzel @ 200/1

Hits the ball long, putts well, has recent form. Could do well.

Monday finish more likely, AND if it goes to that daft next day play off thing we could have a Tuesday finish!!!

It's taken a while for this tournament to come to life but the next hour or so will be very interesting.

Ross Fisher is only one behind now -it would be great if he went on to win it.

Glover two ahead with two to play. His tournament now as long as he keeps his nerve.

Glover wins it, finishing -4, 2 ahead of the rest of the pack.
