Setanta - Money Due

I am due Setanta £10.99 as I cancelled my DD at the end of the season. They always send the letters asking for money and phone you. I never pay them as at the start of the following season they phone you and ask if you'll subscribe again and they'll write off your previous debt ( I do this every year :greengrin ).

My questions are:

1. Should I pay them due to their circumstances and implications on the SPL or is it money in a black hole?

2. As I generally subscribe again a few months after I've cancelled I've never had any issues with the unpaid debt. Will I be chased by the administrators or is it too much time / money for them to chase me for £11.

My current thought is that it's money in a black hole and that I'll never be chased for it. If I thought there was a chance of my £10.99 contibuting to them staying afloat I'd pay it now.

I wonder how much money they are due in arrears from customers?

don't other firms buy the right to claim this sort of debt when a firm goes bust?

ie firm A has 100K due it, so firm B buys the right to that debt for 50K

Not sure. You may be onto something. I'll may just pay it in a month or two then before I get slapped with other charges.

I don't think they can chase you up as they are non-contract subscriptions. You stop paying, they stop supplying?
