Was pretty good in Kill Bill as well, possibly slightly type cast as the ageing martial arts guru but good nevertheless.

Kung Fu was an amazing show and Carradine was just incredible, although the 1st season was the best imo. I have it on DVD. Carradine was invited to play the part of Bill by Tarantino because of his part in Kung Fu.

Kung Fu star Carradine found dead
Kill Bill and Kung Fu star David Carradine has been found dead in a Bangkok hotel room.

Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and body on Thursday morning.

The US star was in Thailand filming his latest film Stretch, according to his personal manager Chuck Binder.

Mr Binder said the news was "shocking", adding: "He was full of life, always wanting to work... a great person."

Carradine was part of an acting dynasty which included his father, John Carradine, and brothers Bruce, Keith and Robert.

The star was best known for his role as Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s TV series Kung Fu, which spawned sequels in the '80s and '90s.

After a career which included more than 100 movies with directors such as Martin Scorsese and Ingmar Bergman, he recently found fame again thanks to his role in Quentin Tarantino's 2003 film Kill Bill.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Bierman, and four children.

Remember having to watch Kung Fu every Saturday because my Dad loved it. It was lost on me, probably just because I was too young to understand it.

Oh the days of council tv and only one tv in the hoose!

Another Michael Hutchence!

So, does anyone on here do this? :hmmm:

Sad stuff but an extremely bizarre and embarrasing way to go!

I stopped after Mixu left, in anticipating some thrills returning to ER.

Didn't half get some funny looks in the Famous Five Upper though.

I wouldn't worry about it. Carry on there is only a 1 in 27 million chance you die from throwing one of the wrist.

You will only go blind if you carry on at your current rate:greengrin

Bizarre yes, embarrassing, not so sure. He was 72 or there abouts. It's personally not my cup of tea but you have to have a bit of respect for someone who slaps the face of old age in such a rock n roll way!

Go on son!
