It took me an hour to drive from Elm Row to Meadowbank at about 1pm today. Why? Because there was a bloddy Orange Walk going along Regent Road!! :grr:

Why the hell do we allow these idiots to disrupt the day to day lives of decent folk every year? And don't get me started on the costs involved! There were literally hundreds of police there. Who pays for that!!! :grr:

Why can't these idiots piss off and have their pathetic little parades in the West where people actually care about it and where they no doubt came from in the first place. Better still, why don't they bugger off to Ireland (North or South) if they care that much about the place!

I heard it's worse than you thought it was a walk for women.

Because they care about it. Like it or not, the right to peaceful assembly is part of our way of life. Pro-lifers, pro-abortionists, fascists, trots, gays, anti-gays..... they're all allowed it.

Oh, just in case you didn't know.... there's a bike race in the Old Town tonight and a marathon in the East side of the town tomorrow. :greengrin

This is why I'm considering bull bars for my car. Just in time for marching season :greengrin

What I don't understand is: my favourite colour is green, I don't get other people who also like green together and then walk and play music about the colour green, so why do it about the colour orange?

Well, actually, a lot of them do. I told them so about 4 years ago.
