I'm surprised that nobody has been on Slickcack demanding a "When Ronnie Corbert met Jimmy Shand" special in the interests of balance.

At least it confirms that BBC 2 are in on the anti-yam conspiracy.

A couple of gadgies from the chemical generation who have managed (just) to keep their wits about them. The same cannot be said of their looks - Welsh looks like he's washed his face with sulphuric acid for the last 50 years and had his lips 'glue'd' shut.

Last time I saw Jimmy Shand on TV the interviewer asked him if he was still getting his leg over-turns out he was a great motor cyclist.
