As Ive never been to that part of the world I intend to spend up to 7 days in the area. I had originally intended starting at Leeds and moving on towards Manchester/Liverpool and just booking into b&bs along the way for myself, partner and 13 year old son. However it might be cheaper if I base myself in Manchester and drive from there to the other areas for day trips. Looked at some hotels who charged pretty high rates, does anyone have local knowledge of cheap but nice places. Im happy to have one large room if it makes life and wallet easier. Obviously when the Bolton game was announced I changed dates of trip to suit and would look to be down somewhere around 3-10 Aug.
