That's pretty nasty stuff. But if raises awareness then so be it. I've certainly been angry enough to hit a partner but you just don't. And anyone who does is pretty damned low.

Incredible stat at the end of the clip where it says 2 women a week die due to domestic abuse, that is shocking:bitchy:.

I wonder if she's mates with Rhianna and what she thinks of it.
Rhianna is probably one of the lucky ones who has the opportunity to get away from someone who abuses her with all the travelling, people who surround her etc etc but still chooses to put herself in that position.
It's a good video and hopefully people can do something to get away from it if they're in that position. I think the problem for people who are physically abused is that they are also put through a lot of mental torture which makes it difficult for them to take the steps to get help and get away from the abuser.

I posted this on the PM board quite recently.
Although I agree with the message, I do think it's unfair, as it only portrays women as victims of domestic abuse. Granted, it's a women's charity who are promoting this, but the issue is certainly not so one-dimensional.
The number of cases involving men being abused by their partners is probably just as high, but men are more ashamed/embarassed to admit there's a problem!

If a women told her friends she was getting abused then they'd giver her a hug and rally behind her. If a man were to tell his friends he'd probably be laughed out the area he happened to reveal this little tidbit. A generalisation certainly, but not hard to believe.
About 19% of domestic abuse cases have males as the victims. That's not including the countless males who will never have the fortitude to ask for help because of the stigma.
