Can anyone help me!

Ive just had a winning bet on the horses however im not sure the online company has paid the correct money back

I did a £2.50 E/W double so total stake was a fiver

One of the Horses won its race at 9/1
The other was 3rd at 15/2.

Ive been paid out only £17.50 - is this right? Dont get me wrong i didnt expect mega bucks but thought it would be £30-£40 :confused:

Well the 15/2 would only return 1/4 odds.

so that's less that 4/2 back. e.g. less than 2/1

Seems right to me. I think you may be making a mistake I've made before too with ew accumulators. I had thought that if you have a double where one hores wins and the other places then your winnings would be calculated as winnings on the horse that wins * ew odds of placed horse (plus stakes and all that jazz).

An ew double is split into two bets. You have the win double and place double. In your case the win double has lost so you lost £2.50, your place double has come up so thats what you got paid out on.
