Was rather sad to read that Brian Pollock, a chemistry teacher from Bathgate Academy died earlier this week in a car crash on the M8.

He taught me all the way through my high school days and put me onto the path I'm on at the moment.

He apparantly just lost control of his car on the way home from school and hit the central reserve.

I don't want this to start a needless condolence thread - I knew him well and was grateful for all he done for me - I'm sure there will be a few others from Bathgate/Armadale (where he also taught) who will have memories of him.

going by your age my daughter must have been in the year below you, she said he was her science teacher in year 1+2 and that he was a nice guy, 56 year old i think she said he was.

His name was Brian Pollock and he worked beside my wife, he was a very popular guy that will missed by many at Bathgate school.
