The universe is infinite (and possibly expanding*). Infinity is a concept that is not covered by materialism (the sensory world) as you cannot see, hear, touch, smell, taste, weigh or measure infinity. Therefore there must more to the universe than the material level that we see in front of us. Infinitely more, in fact. :wink:

Or am I missing something? :confused:

* This bit might be mince as every time I've looked since I was wee the stars have all been in the same constellations.

What exactly are we expanding into?

What was there before the big bang? Something must have existed to go bang in the first place and that must have been made somewhere from something.

Makes my head sore thinking about it too much, so I tend not to!
