How good is that fifth goal? Perfectly waited, then perfectly weighted, and a good looping header to boot. The run wasnt half bad either!

When they click they really are frightening, I would have loved to have seen Wengers team of a few years back play Barca with them both on form, footballing heaven

Possibly one of the most underated players of all time, he doesnt get any major hype etc that others do, but I have never ever seen him waste or misplace a pass, he is simply class:agree:

Xavi is the most perceptive passer of a ball in world football at the moment.
Messi is the most exciting player in world football at the moment (is the ball EVER more than 9 inches away from his foot??)
Dani Alves is the best attacking full back in world football
Thierry Henry is getting back to his best.
Eto'o is lethal.
If football is to be the winner, it's a Barcelona vs Arsenal/Man United Champions League Final that we want IMO :agree: :agree:

Yep was a tad disappointing at the start of his career, but once he watched & studied those Brian Kerr DVDs he has really developed :agree:

One thing that has always bothered me...if a player does lots of 'unseen' work, how do you know?:faf:

What a nutter he was. If he hadn't become a footballer he'd have definitely become some kind of West Central Scotland, Joe Pesci-esque "enforcer" that stabbed folks eyes out with a pair of sharpened spectacles!!

Some people that watch fitba are on such a higher plain of intelligence that they can see it. Where as your mere mortal such as I or yourself can never fully compehend or understand the full glory of "Unseen work".:agree:

Maybe they can just hear or smell the player and therefore appreciate him that way:agree:

Yep if only Hibs had attached a Bungee cord to the corner flag that stopped him crossing the halfway line he might have been a decent player :faf:

I know a lot of people attributed it to Kerr being pish but when you're playing there are a million little things that you do off the ball to close down bits of space, halt a dangerous run etc that could quite quickly develop into a goal.
The bits and pieces that in general people don't see without specifically focusing on one player and those around him as they're generally looking at the ball. I would say full backs and CMs do a lot of this type of thing although you still have to have substance to your game e.g pass the ball and tackle to be half decent regardless of how much 'unseen' work you actually do :greengrin
That my opinion of unseen work.

Where else did I see Barca win 6-0 this season...
But it was spoiled by the obnoxious song. I turned that right down.

I think some of Barca's performances and results this season put our pre-season game against them into perspective.
We did well to keep them to 6!

I went to the match and it was a pleasure to watch that kind of football live. Totally fantastic and well worth the 48 euro's to get in.
