2 Plane crashes 23 minutes Apart.

One in Japan and another in amaerica killing 14 children.

that is now 7 this year, this time last year there was only one.

hmm, i noticed a while ago that there seems to have been very few plane crashes in the last decade or so compared what i remember from the late 80s and 90s.

i can't help but wonder if corners are being cut due do the recession.

terrible stuff either way.

no its cause most planes in service are old. Like a car it doesnt work as well when i gets old

if that was the case there'd have been a more gradual increase in accidents over the years.

as it happens theres been a sudden increase in the last year or so, which coincides directly with the recession.

Correct me if I'm wrong but was one of the crashes today not due to pilot error and high winds?

FWIW I think that companies will probably be taking shortcuts to keep costs down.
