I have some work saved on a cassette tape.

Is it possible to upload it to a digital format?

If so, can you do it? :agree:

Hi dave, ive got an adapter which will allow you to connect the audio cables from your tape deck to the mic input on your pc. You are very welcome to borrow it if no-one comes up with a better solution - either that or bring the tape round and ill do it. I just tried it and seemed to work alright - just a matter of setting the input volume at the right level.

Preferably use the line-in if its got one rather than the mic-in.then the levels should be correct.

Cheers, J.

I'll bring it round sometime as I don't have a tape deck any more.

No worries, just let me know when - I got a new cassette player for my legacy tapes and I'm quite enjoying it - it is quite a good one and the sound quality is good (despite what some mockers on this thread think!).

If you are bothered about quality I will install a soundcard so I can follow HH's advice about using line-in - ive got one lying about someplace - just let me know.

It's a work tape. Talking only so I don't need hi-fidelity.

It's a sign of the times when I had to show my 15 year old how to work my turntable to play a vinyl record she'd borrowed off a mate:boo hoo:
