12" laptop

I'm getting a laptop for work, to be used in the office and for taking to meetings out and about. Looking online at a model which has a 12.1" screen, has anyone used one with such a small screen and if so is it practical to use or just too small?

I have the HP nc4200 with 12.1" screen, great wee machine, good for home use and from meeting to meeting, but when working on spreadsheets etc etc I would advise hooking up a second monitor oh and get one with an internal DVD player mines is external and a pain in the behind!!
