Are the following stats representative of the views on each subject, by the wider Scottish/UK population;

The most popular political ideology is Socialism, closely followed by Social Democracy.

The most popular political party is the SNP, by some margin.

More than 70% back the UK's involvement with the EU.

Almost 60% want independence for Scotland, 50% of which, want independence under an SNP/Socialist Government.

Almost 60% do not want the death penalty to be reintroduced.

Slight opposition to homosexual couples receiving egg/sperm donations so they can have children.

Two thirds support same sex marriage.

90% back euthanasia.

96% back abortion, with 70% saying that anyone who wants one, should get one.

Slight opposition to people being able to alter the genetics of their unborn child, to prevent diseases/illnesses from developing.

It would be really interesting to see if that is close to what the wider public thinks, on each issue.

Thoughts?

No, your sample size isn't big enough and it's biased by being from a small area of the population

as deano said. sample size is too small to make any conclusions about how representative this is of the general population.

what you could conclude though, is that it is representative of the people who chose to answer the polls. :wink:

Its only my second day on here but I am glad that my views although unrepresentative of anything seem to be more popular than I had imagined.
