Me and GF have decided to buy a Global Interrail Pass for 1 Month!

Anyone got any experience or tips?

What I was thinking was either;

Fly to somewhere like Amsterdam, make my way travelling east around Europe spending a couple of days at each destination and then heading back to Paris to get a flight home.

or

Fly to as far East as I can go (I think you can go to Turkey but I dont really fancy there!) so possibly Athens and slowly make my way Home!

The pass costs around £380, has anyone got any idea of how much we should allow for hostels/B&B's? We don't want to plan a day to day itenary before we go, just maybe set key dates for reaching places to ensure we get home in time for work (:rules::boo hoo:)! We thought around £50 a night for the 2 of us but hopefully much less? Probably the only places we will book in advance is our first few nights until we find our feet!

Also, any places to avoid/must see? Here's all the places the pass is valid for;

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Macedonia (FYROM) Montenegro Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey,

Also it says some ferries costs are included! Does anyone know if these have extra costs and if we should use them?

My work colleague says when he looked into a few years ago you could travel to morocco too! Is this possible or is this a different scheme as it doesn't mention anything on the website!

Basically any advise would be much appreciated!
